Litigation Management Policies and Procedures

ICRMA has adopted Litigation Management Policies and Procedures(LMPP) to govern the handling of claims reportable to ICRMA. Click here for the complete LMPP. For the convenience of approved defense counsel, the budget form and case analysis report form are also available as stand-alone documents.

2015 Defense Counsel Symposium

ICRMA held a Defense Counsel Symposium on Monday, October 12, 2015. The State Bar of California approved 3 MCLE units for in-person attendance at this Symposium.  Symposium topics included:

  • Public perception of law enforcement's use of force
  • Media coverage of excessive force incidents
  • Advantages and disadvantages of transparency when an event occurs
  • Favorable defense practices from the event occurrence through trial conclusion
  • Managing claims in the current toxic environment
  • Obtaining a favorable jury panel
